A singer since the age of 12 and an accomplished stage and screen actress (seen on HBO’s The Wire), Demetria has a powerful vocal range and a mesmerizing style, singing old-school jazz and blues in the tradition of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan.

Demetria can bend and turn a phrase singing standards such as Sweet Georgia Brown, Black Coffee, Round Midnight, and Good Morning Heartache and make them all uniquely her own. She also dabbles in the world of pop, with her interpretations of hits from Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire to The Mamas and the Papas.
